The place is open to the public except Mondays, as it is by appointment only on that day. They have many different plants and trees, but not everything you may need is there. I asked if they have something to repel fleas but was told that they don't. I think the prices are comparable to others although I haven't been to a lot, just maybe Home Depot. :) They have a big pond with a waterfall, full of Koi fishes (some really big ones) and turtles. You can feed them for $3 per bag of fish food. However, it is limited to just one bag per group/family. The receptionist is nice and accommodating. She answered all my questions.

I found this place on social media and definitely had to bring My Mom, we loved the unique variety of plants here and the waterfall, having a place like this in San Diego would be amazing, since we're from there, It was hard for My Mom not to get anything lol.

Spent a good 40minutes here with a 3yr old. Yes this place is kid friendly. You can purchase fish food and feed the Koi fish in the pond. There are also lots of turtles which my nephew loved. They have lots of beautiful plants and flowers for purchase. Plenty of free parking so come and check it out!

Beautiful pond & overall setup. Incredible selection of plants, the variety & rarity along with the prices of the plants they carry is awesome. The staff were very knowledgeable on the plants they have & a pleasure to talk with & ask questions. We essentially drove 3 hours south to visit & scored a couple of Spanish moss bundles & Tillandsia for a really good price. Our new go-to for Air Plants forsure.

We visited for the D’vine Plant and Crafts Market and ended up loving the koi & turtle ponds. The setting inside the greenhouse is just pure plant dopamine. It’s an oasis from the city! Staff was wonderful, the selection of plants skews toward tropical [as the name suggests], and the prices seemed reasonable for what they’re selling. At the market I loved the variety of monstera, begonia, and crafts they had for sale. The plant stand owners were such lovely people. And the crafts ran the gamut from super cute (plushies, VW planter) and trendy to beautiful and truly timeless (high end pottery). I thought it was worth the VIP price of admission to have the whole market be so uncrowded for an hour and to get a tote with a new plant and bag of soil already in it. There’s a bit of public parking but not a LOT, so the number 8 and 344 bus stop being right there was super helpful. I would return next year for sure!

Rainforest Flora in Torrance was absolutely worth the drive. From the moment we arrived and entered the nursery, it felt amazing--almost like walking into a tropical oasis. The whole place was very clean, well-organized, and full of healthy plants. Their prices were also very reasonable and affordable. I was able to get some Bromeliad Fireball and Alcantarea imperialis for a great price. The staff was professional, friendly, and very informative, which made the visit even better. Overall, this nursery is a great place for anyone who loves tropical plants. I'm very happy with my visit and will definitely come back for more plants

I love coming here! Have been for years, if just to feed the fish and turtles. They have a great selection of air plants, bromeliads, ferns, cactus, succulents, and houseplants. My partner and I went here out of curiosity since we always drove past it . It was really cool becsuse they have live turtles and koi fish you could feed. Very nice inside . Only thing is I wish it was bigger . And more options for plants . The front desk person was chill and was their dog 🐕 I even found really cool roots to put in my geckos tank. Definitely will visit again

This nursery is a destination. The plants are beautifully presented and healthy looking. The water feature is magnificent. This is not your run of the mill garden shop, it features specialty plants for collectors. I'm so glad we went.

Great experience

Love this place! It's really a showroom for their plants. They have a huge pond and rock formation with waterfalls cascading down into the pond. Huge koi. They have tons of air plants growing on the rocks and suspended from all places. They have a huge philodendron with leaves 3ft in diameter. They have epic Staghorn ferns for purchase as well.

This is one of the hidden gems in Torrance and the South Bay. You can't miss their sign when you're driving down Hawthorne! They have a nursery here and they have a very wide selection of plants! I'd say they're known for their variety of staghorn ferns and air plants but they also have monsteras and other popular house plants. Everything is priced very reasonably. This is a great place to get gifts for friends and family. They are very professional and helpful. They're very patient and answered all my questions when it came to taking care of my staghorn fern. I loved mine so much that I came back a few weeks later to pick up a second one. One of the best things about this place is their koi ponds! They have two inside! You can buy fish food for $3 and feed them at your leisure. It's perfect for kids. For those who own staghorn ferns, they also help with remounting them when they get too big but you'll need to contact them directly and see if the service is available.

This is a must see when visiting SoCal. Quiet, peaceful, huge variety of air plants and much much more.

Hidden gem! Driven past this plant store for a long time and never stopped…I have been missing out. This is such a cool little place with tons of beautiful mature and baby plants. Waterfall, koi fish and turtles to complete the vibe. You can feed the fish and the turtles for $3. Lots of plant arrangements.

Best hidden garden in Torrance & South Bay This is honestly free therapy! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great spot to stop for a quick gift for friends or coworkers. They have Koi fish and a waterfall, complete with Turtles who hang out on the rocks and shore of the pond. They have a wide variety of air plants, staghorn ferns, different varieties of alocasia, and so many endless options of green leaf friends. I have visited many times without purchasing anything and just enjoyed walking around and taking in the traquil vibrations and energy. When I have bought plants and gifts, I find the prices are fair and reasonable.

Love their beautiful showroom. Pond with cascading waterfall, large crystals, happy plants. The pond has koi & turtles. You can buy koi food pellets for only $3 & feed the lovely koi too. Staff very friendly & knowledgeable. Great place to buy unique plants and air pods.

I absolutely love this place. Not only do they have beautiful plants for sale, but they have a really cool set up where you can walk around, look at plants feed turtles, and Koi fish. The people there are always so friendly, helpful and give you advice on how to care for the plants you buy.

I love this place! They have a good selection of plants and the place is super cute with the waterfall, turtles, and fish ponds. The staff are all wonderful! Very helpful and informative. Prices aren't as bad versus ordering online or going to another place where they don't specialize in air plants. When I'm in Torrance , I try to visit this place even just for 5 minutes hahaha parking is easy too. Can't wait to go back!

This place is awesome if you have kids. There’s a fish pond with Koi fish and turtles. It’s a great experience for kids. The people working here are so chill too!

This is a great place to stop by even if you don't plan on getting a plant. You can tell the owner really loves plants because the central display is so lovely and well cared for. The central display had turtles and fish and plenty of air plants all over it. We went in without expectations and ended up walking out with a little snake plant. They specialize in air plants, if you are looking for those this is the place to go.

Breathtaking. Like a slice of a botanical garden. Very clean and respectable growing operation. Beautiful pond and extremely large clusters of aroids and philodendrons growing over a rock formation and waterfall. Airplants and bromeliads are their specialty. Probably isn't a better place than here in all of LA and OC for tillandsias. They have driftwood arrangements and ornamental rocks. And even tropical plants. Some pricy some very reasonable but you get what you pay for. Cashier was friendly and we got some nice air plants on sale. Lots of sales going on succulents and houseplants too because it's slow season. Late summer and winter is tough for nurseries like this. Nice place to stroll by on a day off. Will be coming back to support the business. Just seeing Koi and turtles is worth the drive. Also very nice terrarium and aquarium on the register counter.

My first order arrived a week late, frozen in a box from UPS, despite the heat pack I had purchased with shipping. I notified customer service and got a phone call back from Nick right away. He apologized and immediately got to work to resend the order. Everything arrived in two days and was bright, alive, and toasty from the heat pack. Excellent customer service and really beautiful plants as well!!

I was blown away by the number of varieties of bromeliads and the stunning way they were displayed on rick outcroppings among water falls and a beautiful koi pond. I found a variety I'd been looking for 10 years for. I had to get it and I will be back.

This place is a hidden gem! We went looking for plants for our front yard. There are lots of air plants, great gifts for those friends who have everything and a low maintenance plant. We received an education by the staff! Also, there is a koi pond with lots of turtles to check out. It really is a rainforest! You can buy koi food, even they anticipate it as you walk by making a big splash. On the premise is the sweetest dog. We will definitely come back for the air plants.

I always wished to visit rainforest flora for their tillandsia! The type of tillandsia available for purchase is currently limited, but the plants are very cute. (Their larger species/hybrids are even prettier but I don't have enough space to grow them.)

Hard to find air plants in California. This place has so many air plants, it was amazing!!

I was impressed with all the large variety of air plants. The pond area has a couple of benches to sit and relax while admiring the koi fish and turtles. The staff was friendly and he is bilingual. It is nice to just to browse, but most likely you will buy a plant or two

They have the best selection of plants here! The largest air plant supplier in the area, prices are very affordable to. They are so friendly and welcoming here, there is so much to see and explore. You can even feed the Koi fish here very nicely done, our favorite store for buying new plants for our home, highly recommended!

This place is stunning! Beautiful plants and ambiance. I took my 5 month old and he loves looking at the turtles and koi fish. We saw some nice air plants and beautiful floral arrangements and plants that were reasonably priced. We are going to go back and grab some when we move to our new home. The gentleman saw us looking at plants that were not yet priced and he said to take what we wanted and they would help us inside. Great service and such a beautiful spot in the South Bay.

This place really is a rainforest! There were so many plants of different shapes and sizes, and the shop specialized in air plants. The staff was so communicative and knowledgeable, informing me about community events and what days I can look out for if I wanted a specimen size. I felt like I paid a very good price for the plant I bought.

It's a tropical paradise in a greenhouse located in an unassuming spot on a busy street. We've driven by this place for many years and never really noticed it as it blends into the background on a busy street and it's very easy to miss the small entrance/driveway. It wasn't until we were looking for a place to purchase a tropical plants did we realize it is located in the heart of Torrance. I'm not sure of the entire place is open to the public but the first greenhouse (from the street) is a something everyone should at least stop by to see when in the area. The design is far from the typical nursery and mimics a tropical, picturesque paradise retreat full of air plants, orchids and other unique looking plants that surrounds a waterfall and koi pond with turtles that you can feed for a quarter (fish/turtle food can be purchased from a "gumball" vending machine). The employees are friendly and welcoming.

This is a great place to pick up an air plant or a bonsai tree. They also have a fish food dispenser so that you can feed the coi fish and turtles.

Hands down my favorite plant store in the area! I love walking through this place. The workers are always so inviting and are always so knowledgeable about the plants. They have a great variety of plants. I have a few indoor plants from this store and they are thriving. The store has waterfalls and pond in the back of the store, which makes it so tranquil. They have turtles and koi fish, and even have fish food to feed the fish. So fun.

Love this place! I accidentally found it through Google map. I came with my kids and parents, we spent some time buying air plants, my kids fed the koi fishes, took some great photos. We felt like tourist at this wonderful rainforest place. It is very unique place, the owner have impressive plant collection. Thank you for the experience!

I ordered a selection of air plants from Rainforest Flora after watching Paul Isley's Tilly Talks and becoming intrigued with the wide variety of plants offered. I'm located in the Midwest and the selection of air plant varieties locally is quite small so I decided to take a chance on ordering from Rainforest Flora. What can I say but WOWZA?!! ❤️ My plants are healthy, gorgeous and much larger than I anticipated. My previous air plants, ordered from Etsy were fine, but tended to be quite small, so I was shocked that these plants were, at a minimum, the size indicated on the website - some even larger! They were packaged carefully and came labeled with the plant name and care instructions. Several of the plants came with buds, so I'm excited about the possibility of blooms. My collection of air plant display holders is a bit small for many of these new plants, so I spent time this weekend painting, decoupaging and stenciling to create four of the five displays seen in the attached photos. The plants are so pretty that I felt they had to be hung on a wall and displayed like art.
